Sisters Invite Public to Contemplative Prayer

Fond du Lac, WI –The Sisters and Associates of St. Agnes invite the public to join them in prayer for peace in our hearts and respect for all people, races, religions, and countries. The monthly prayer nights began in October and will continue to be held the last Sunday of each month until the end of April from 6-7 PM at the Chapel of the Sisters of St. Agnes Motherhouse, 320 County Road K, Fond du Lac, WI.

“Our intention is to provide a place and time for anyone of any faith tradition to sit in silence and raise our hopes and dreams for peace in our own lives, in our country, and in our world,” explained Sister Patrice Rog, one of the planning committee. “We will have a short opening and closing prayer, but otherwise, we sit in silence with each other. It is a powerful experience, to pray wordlessly with others.”

Each monthly gathering has welcomed more than 30 attendees who have reflected that their time spent in prayer is a powerful experience that leaves them feeling at peace. In the midst of confusion, discord and uncertainty, it can be difficult to find quiet and stillness; CSA and Associates offer this prayer time as a potential solution to that problem.

Everyone is invited to attend the contemplative prayer evenings, regardless of their faith tradition, and no reservations are required. For more information, please call Chelsea Koenigs at 920.907-2300.  Press Release
