Season of Creation: Day 1
Climate change widespread, rapid, and intensifying. Per the report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on August 9, 2021, scientists are observing changes in Earth’s climate in every region and across the whole climate system. Many of the changes observed in the climate are unprecedented in thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of years, and some of the changes already set in motion—such as continued sea level rise—are irreversible over hundreds to thousands of years. This report is the first installment of many which will be completed in 2022.

That we may grow in consciousness, awe, and praise of the mystery of God’s creation and in our reverence of all that is created, we pray.
