Oppose USCIS Fee

February 07, 2020
By Sister Ruth Battaglia, CSA

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services is proposing a rule change that would increase immigration application fee costs. If implemented, the rule would raise fees to apply for citizenship and lawful permanent residency, work permits, asylum, and renewal of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status. At the same time, the change would eliminate critical fee waivers for low-income applicants and transfer more than $220 million to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over the next two fiscal years.

The Ignatian Solidarity Network has made it easy to make your comment.  You do need to personalize your message, perhaps with a story. The deadline is February 10.

Join us in sending a message to USCIS that, as people of faith, we do not want immigration policies that actively seek to exclude immigrants. Public comments are due by midnight on February 10th.
