The mission of the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation ministry is to explore CSA's distinct contribution to the ongoing, nonviolent transformation of the world towards peace, justice and ecology. This work embraces the efforts of sisters, associates, co-workers and others who share the CSA vision. We live out the mission to bring about systemic change by using the lens of nonviolence to focus on the issues of women, children, health care, globalization (especially as it affects Latin America), seamless ethic of life.

Feast of St. Francis

October 04, 2021
By Tracy Abler, Justice Coordinator

During the Season of Creation, we explored the seven goals of the Laudato Si’ Action Platform, were educated on the signs of our times with relevant resources, reflected on readings from the Pope’s encyclical, and reminisced the many wonderful ways our community has taken action in our commitment to Care for Earth.

At our Feast of St. Francis Prayer Service, Sister Jean announced the Dicastery for Promoting Human Development’s next phase of the Laudato Si’ Action Platform – 40 Days of Prayer.  The prayer campaign begins with the Feast of St. Francis and concludes on November 14, the World Day of Prayer for the Poor.  On November 14, members of the universal Church will be invited to take a firm commitment to creating their own Laudato Si’ Plans.  CSA is ready and will be joining this important movement with other religious communities as well as six other sectors – Parishes and Dioceses, Families, Economy, Hospitals, Educational Institutions, and Groups & Organizations.

We invite you to view the video below and join us in 40 Days of Prayer.
