Bring Dream Act of 2019, S. 874 to a Vote

Today, June 4, marks the one-year anniversary of the historic House passage of H.R. 6, the American Dream and Promise Act, a solution that helps people without hurting people. If it were to become law, it would protect and provide a pathway to citizenship for immigrant youth, TPS and DED holders.
In the midst of the continued uncertainty of the global COVID-19 pandemic and the growing unrest in our nation due to the institutionalized white supremacy and racism against Black lives and communities of color, DACA recipients continue to await a Supreme Court decision that could change their futures. The justices will decide whether to uphold the highly successful program or put immigrant youth at risk of deportation. Because of this uncertainty, we encourage DACA recipients to consider renewing their DACA protections now.
As we await this Supreme Court decision, we are calling on you to help us uplift the anniversary and push the Senate to pass the Dream and Promise Act. Can you do at least one small thing for DACA recipients?

Call Senator Mitch McConnell’s office (202-224-2541) and urge him to immediately bring the Dream Act of 2019, S. 874 to the Senate floor for a vote,

Call your Senators and U.S. Rep. (202-224-3121) and

  • Urge them to lift up the need for automatic extensions of work permits and protection from deportation in the next COVID-19 relief bill for DACA and TPS holders.

Remind them that

  • We are awaiting on a Supreme Court decision possibly affecting the availability and protection of DACA
  • We need Congress to enact a permanent solution for DACA and TPS holders.

Encourage DACA recipients you know to consider renewing their DACA now.
