Nonviolence... Human trafficking... Women... The elderly... Immigrants' rights... Housing... Children... Prisoners' rights... Health care... World Hunger... Globalization, as it affects Latin America... Care of the earth... Seamless ethic of life

The mission of the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation ministry is to explore CSA's distinct contribution to the ongoing, nonviolent transformation of the world towards peace, justice and ecology. This work embraces the efforts of sisters, associates, co-workers and others who share the CSA vision. We live out the mission to bring about systemic change by using the lens of nonviolence to focus on the issues of women, children, health care, globalization (especially as it affects Latin America), seamless ethic of life.

"I Can't Breathe"

June 08, 2020
By Sister Ruth Battaglia, CSA

Woman holding sign that says, "We Can't Breathe the time for Justice is always right now."At this unique moment in our US history, both people of color and white people are demanding a change from the systemic racism that has dominated our country. Those of us who are white must commit to do the work of listening, learning, changing, letting go of white privilege -- in other words, change our hearts. We cannot afford to remain silent, to do nothing. As Desmond TuTu asserts, “If you are neutral in times of injustice you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”

I offer a few resources that you are welcome to share with others.

Lastly, I share with you this poem by Leslye Colvin, a student at the Center for Action and Contemplation.
