Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) is an investment strategy which seeks to maximize both financial return and social good.
CSA Shareholder activity:
1. Filing resolutions : Each year CSA files between eight and twelve resolutions asking corporations in which CSA owns stock to take specific action such as "Say On Pay" Human Rights, Ethical Weapons Sales and so on.
2. Writing letters to CEOs: when there are no women on their company’s board of directors and the ballot also has not women on it, CSA votes “no” on the nominees and sends a letter to the CEO explaining the vote. (Click HERE for a copy of the letter.)
3. SRI-101: a Powerpoint presentation on socially responsible investing.
