Our Ministries

UNITED STATES MINISTRIES

Inspired by the courage and vision of the dedicated women who have gone before us, we continue to identify unmet needs, according to the realities that shape our world today, and we strive to allow the following priorities to guide our ministry planning:

  • Facilitation of services to those who lack adequate healthcare
  • Empowerment of the economically and socially marginalized.
  • Furtherance of the role of women in the church and society.
  • Education of economically poor adults and children in creative programs in both traditional and nontraditional settings which have influence on structures that promote justice for the quality of life.

LATIN AMERICAN MINISTRIES

In Latin America, the goals of the first CSA missionaries have become a reality, and more challenges have presented themselves because of third world poverty. The congregation has educated and formed young Latin American women who have answered the call to become Sisters of St. Agnes. They are viable ministers in the Catholic Latin American Church. They serve the poor in areas of education, parish ministry, community organizational development, and healthcare in Honduras and Nicaragua.

RETIREMENT MINISTRIES

The CSA Retirement Fund assists the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes in providing for the on-going needs of retired members both in the United States and in Latin America. Donations to this fund support sisters who have ministered to and enriched the lives of others through Catholic education and health care for so many years. The goal of the congregation is to be fully funded to care for all members retiring now and in the years ahead.

AREA OF GREATEST NEED

As the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes continue to be "committed to transformation of the world, the Church and themselves through promoting: systemic change for the quality of life; justice for the economically poor; furtherance of the role of women in church and society; mutuality, inclusivity, and collaboration;" we invite you to share in the mission of CSA by contributing to our ability to respond to needs which arise due to natural disaster and economic inequities.
