Sister Katie Schilling's Update from Nicaragua - September 16, 2007

Sisters Survive Hurricane, But Convent Damaged (link from Catholic Herald Newspaper on-line)

The following photos were submitted by Sister Katie Schilling, CSA, who traveled to Puerto Cabezas to give assistance to the sisters, teachers, parishioners, and residents of the town devastated by hurricane Felix. The photos Sister Katie sent show the damage and devastation to Maureen Courtney School, Niño Jesus School, St. Agnes Convent, and homes of some victims of the storm. As you view the pictures, please include in your prayer the many people suffering from the ravages of the storm Felix. The Sisters of St. Agnes in Fond du Lac are accepting financial donations to provide food, water, medicine, building supplies, school supplies, and domestic needs in Puerto Cabezas, Santa Marta, and surrounding villages.
