Hurricane Felix Relief Feedback

The following are only some of the letters we received.

Thank you to the generous donors who have stepped forward to support the 234 children at the Maureen Courtney School for Special Needs Children in Puerto Cabezas. Nicaragua.

You are changing the world!

Dear Sister Deborah,

I am enclosing a check to aid the missions in Nicaragua particularly those hit by the latest hurricane.

Our son and his family live in San Marcos, Nicaragua, so I have visited Nicaragua several times. However, I have never gone to the east coast.

God's blessings to you and those who work in Nicaragua.

Kathleen McHugh
Oshkosh, WI

My thoughts and prayers will be for those who lost their meager homes during the hurricane.

I am sending this memorial to the Sisters of St. Agnes who were my teachers at St. Mary Springs during 1946-1950 and in memory of Bishop Salvator Schlaefer, a second cousin, who served his religious life among the citizens of Nicaragua.

Oak Creek, WI

I am enclosing a personal contribution to support the work for Sr. Mirna Alvarado and the Staff in Santa Ines Clinic of Waspam during the post-hurricane Felix emergency.

Dr. Maria E. Compte
Forest Hills, NY

Please use the enclosed towards Hurricane Felix Relief effort. I read about it in the Catholic Herald and also the Plymouth Review.

God Bless the sisters in their mission, and especially God Bless the special needs children they help. (I have a special needs son (Rob) ? he is a blessing and an inspiration!)

Plymouth, WI

In another life, before the nuns drove, the nun's at St. Nicks called my mother and asked her to meet the train on Davis St.- the first candidates from Nicaragua were arriving on their way to Fond du Lac.

When my oldest son attended St. Nicholas (he's 49) I taught one of his teachers to drive.

Sister Irene Gussert was my fifth grade teacher. Sister Regis LePine and Sister Helen Pope are dear friends.

Sister Deborah,

I have a granddaughter with special needs and know how important it is to get her needs met. If you should know Sister Agnes she is my Rock. I hope this contribution can make a difference for the great things you?re doing.
